Quick answers about the quiz and your results.

• How long does the quiz take?

  About 5–7 minutes. There are 30 steps in total: 15 scenario questions and 15 short follow-ups about what drove your response.

• Is my data stored?

  Yes. When you finish the quiz we save your answers and results on our backend (so we can understand how people use the quiz). We don’t need your email for that. If you unlock your full result with your email, we link that and any optional demographics to your submission. We may also use your IP address to infer approximate location (e.g. country) for analytics. See our Privacy page for more.

• What are the four main types?

  Authoritative (high warmth, high structure), Authoritarian (low warmth, high structure), Permissive (high warmth, low structure), and Uninvolved (low warmth, low structure). The quiz also assigns you one of 17 subtypes (e.g. Lighthouse, Tiger, Helicopter) for a more specific result.

• Can I retake the quiz?

  Yes. Use “Retake quiz” on your results page or start again from the home page. Each time you’ll get a new set of results based on your answers.

• Is this a clinical or diagnostic tool?

  No. WWYD Parent is for reflection and self-awareness only. It is not a substitute for professional advice. If you’re concerned about your parenting or your family’s wellbeing, please speak to a qualified professional.
