About WWYD Parent

What would you do? is a short, scenario-based quiz that helps you see where your parenting style sits on a well-known framework: the four-quadrant model (Authoritative, Authoritarian, Permissive, and Uninvolved), plus more specific subtypes that capture what drives your choices.

Why we built it

Parenting isn’t one-size-fits-all. This tool is designed to give you a clear, non-judgmental snapshot of your style so you can reflect on your strengths and where you might want to grow—without labels or blame.

How it works

You answer 15 real-life scenarios by choosing the response closest to what you’d do. After each one, a quick follow-up asks what mattered most to you in that moment. Your main type comes from your scenario choices; your subtype comes from those follow-up answers, so the result reflects both what you do and why.

The framework

The four main types are based on warmth (connection, responsiveness) and structure (rules, expectations). Within each type we use common subtypes—such as Gentle or Lighthouse under Authoritative, Tiger under Authoritarian, Helicopter under Permissive—to give you a more precise picture.
